ESG | Probe Group's Clean Water Project takes home three OIR Awards
We are thrilled to announce that our Solar Powered Clean Water Project has won three categories at the Outsourcing Impact Review 2025, presented by Outsource Accelerator. Our project, which constructed a complete solar-powered potable water infrastructure for Tingloy, brought home the gold in the Community Building and Education categories and secured bronze in the Health and Wellness category.
The Outsourcing Impact Review (OIR) recognises business-powered projects solving essential community challenges and celebrates the organisations across the global outsourcing industry that drive them and accomplish measurable social and business transformation. The 'Solar Powered Clean Water Project' stood out this year among a record number of entries in the Medium company (up to 30,000 employees) group.
Bringing clean water to Tingloy
Probe Group launched this transformative initiative in partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) to address persistent water scarcity in the community of Tingloy, Batangas in the Philippines.
Together we installed seven clean, solar-powered taps that now bring water to San Juan Elementary School, the local medical clinic and a community chapel.
Local leaders were also trained to co-manage, operate and adapt the water system for local conditions, to ensure its long-term sustainability.
“Probe Group is committed to foster sustainable and ethical projects that benefit the communities we serve and the planet,” said Jo Zaharopoulos, Probe Group General Counsel & Head of ESG. “Our partnership with the community of Tingloy is that commitment brought to life, we are honoured to have contributed to uplifting their quality of life by facilitating access to clean water. Our journey is only starting; we will continue to work hand in hand to support a more equitable community.”
Community impact
The initiative now reliably serves 550 individuals across Tingloy, including 140 students and eight teachers.
Summarising the impact of the awarded initiative, the OIR 2025 Report states “Probe Group's solar-powered model for water access demonstrates how technology, partnership and empathy can create ripple effects far beyond BPO—empowering health, learning and hope, island by island”.
