ESGBusiness has recognised Probe Group’s Solar Powered Clean Water Initiative at its annual awards ceremony in Malaysia on Thursday, September 25th, in both the Sustainable Infrastructure and Sustainable Water Management categories.
The ESGBusiness Awards celebrate businesses and organisations that are leading the way towards a more sustainable future. At Probe Group our mission extends beyond delivering exceptional customer experiences; it encompasses making a meaningful environmental impact and upholding our shared dedication to a sustainable future.
The awards acknowledge the positive impact that the sustainability initiative has had on 550 local people in Tingloy, Batangas in the Philippines . The purpose led project influenced by Probe Group’s employee ESG survey is a real life demonstration of two of our values of innovation and empathy, and shows our unwavering passion for creating lasting positive change.
Its main objectives of the innovative project were to:
• Significantly improve the safety, quality and reliability of local drinking water
• Power water purification and distribution systems with renewable energy
• Establish sustainable, solar-powered access to potable water
• Reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases
• Eliminate disruptions to learning at the local school
We provided funding, sponsorship and project management skills in collaboration with PBSP to construct a solar-powered potable water infrastructure including installing a deep well pump, two 2,000-litre storage tanks and a pipeline network designed to deliver clean filtered water to seven strategic community distribution points. A dedicated tap was established within the San Juan Elementary School, and six more taps supplied the local chapel, medical clinic, and the broader community.
Our initiative sets a benchmark for sustainable water management, proving environmental responsibility drives innovation and value. By investing in communities and offering carbon-reducing, safe water solutions aligned with UN SDGs, we create genuine impact and reaffirm our leadership in sustainability and passion for creating positive change.
